1. Eligibility
The site and newsletter are intended for adults and professionals who want plain-language cloud literacy. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the site only with a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for providing accurate contact information when you subscribe or submit forms.
2. Educational content - not professional advice
Don't Know Jack publishes educational commentary about cloud computing (including AWS and Azure), AI, and related business topics. Content is for general information and learning only. It is not professional, legal, financial, security, architectural, or compliance advice. Cloud services change often; always verify against official provider documentation and your own advisors before making decisions that affect production systems, budgets, or security.
3. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise noted, site content - including text, branding, puzzles, and graphics - is owned by Don't Know Jack or its licensors. You may share links and quote short excerpts with attribution for personal or educational use. You may not copy the site wholesale, scrape content for competing products, or remove trademarks without permission.
4. Subscriptions and email
Newsletter subscription is free. By subscribing you consent to receive weekday concept emails and occasional product notes related to Don't Know Jack. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email or by contacting us. Paid or upgraded features (if offered) may have additional terms presented at purchase. Delivery depends on your inbox provider; we are not responsible for filtered or delayed mail.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Abuse forms, APIs, or rate limits (spam, automated flooding, scraping at scale)
- Submit unlawful, harassing, or abusive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, other accounts, or non-public areas
- Interfere with site availability or security
- Use the site to distribute malware or engage in fraud
We may suspend access, ignore abusive submissions, or take other reasonable steps to protect the service and community.
6. Third-party services and links
The site may link to Substack, cloud provider docs, analytics (when you consent), or other third parties. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party content or outages.

The site and newsletter are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Don't Know Jack and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed CAD $50 (or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, if greater).

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy policy. Analytics cookies load only if you accept them via the site consent banner.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the site, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date below will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms for future use.
